Important Information for Your Appointment

Here are listed a few tips for a great session, as well as a rundown of the deposit policy and links to pdfs of Aftercare Information.

Appointment Tips

  • Most importantly, get a shower and decent rest, if possible.

    Eat a decent meal - it doesn't need to be heavy, but it is best to have something substantial on your stomach.

    It's not necessary to shave the area being tattooed prior to your appointment; however, if you're particularly hirsute and feeling generous, knocking down the hair in the area to be tattooed will cut down on how much time shaving we will have to do at your appointment.

  • Wear something comfortable, but something that also allows for access to the area being tattooed.

    Drapes and nipple coverings are available, if needed.

  • If it's an area known to be rough and/or dry, do moisturize prior to your appointment. The day of, however, do not apply any lotions or creams in the area.

  • The day of your consultation, mainly just bring yourself and your ideas (references are great, but not required). If you intend or anticipate to set up an appointment immediately following your consultation: also bring $50 or a card to pay your deposit to secure your appointment time and date.

    The day of your appointment, bring yourself, your photo id (state/ military/passport ) and cash to pay for your piece and, if you so choose, tip your artist (it's always appreciated)

  • If you are anticoagulants or have a medical history that may preclude you from a tattoo (cancer, psoriasis, recent or upcoming surgery etc) — please consult your physician to advise how to proceed.

    (In the case of surgeries, I like to aim for at least 2 weeks post-procedure, if not advised longer, so your body can focus healing the more recent and probably more invasive trauma.)

    If you are on or prescribed an antibiotic before you appointment: please let your artist know. In the interest of your healing, your appointment will be moved as soon as possible to a week from your last scheduled dose of antibiotic.

Deposit Policy

In simplest terms:

Both artist and client value our time. An artist values the time and effort put into creating your design. This studio prides itself on being understanding and generally chill. Please just be courteous and let us know before the day of your appointment should you need to reschedule.

In formal terms:

*I understand that this deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE, and it is required to secure my appointment.

*I acknowledge and accept that the amount of this deposit COMES OFF THE FINAL TOTAL of my tattoo, and acknowledge and accept that should my piece take multiple sessions, the amount of this deposit will come off the total of my FINAL SESSION.

*I acknowledge and accept that should I need to reschedule, I understand that I MUST give AT LEAST 24 (twenty-four) hours notice of my need to reschedule, and that this deposit can be put forward to a new, SET date, and this will be 2x (TWICE) allowable before forfeiture.

*I understand that I can reach out via message on the Facebook page, or via calling or texting the shop number (502.830.9731). I understand should my call reach voicemail, I WILL leave a message so as the artist can return my call to establish and facilitate my rescheduling need.

*I acknowledge and agree that cancellation or notice of need to reschedule LESS than 24 hours from the time of my appointment will forfeit my deposit. I acknowledge and accept that I will have to put down a NEW $50 (fifty dollar) deposit to set up a new appointment.

*I acknowledge and accept that should I need to reschedule twice, the third reschedule shall be treated as a cancellation and establishing a new appointment, and I will need to put down a new deposit.

*I understand that if I show up more than 20 minutes late to my appointment with no communication of my delay to the artist, I may be asked to reschedule, and that shall be treated as a cancellation and establishing of a new appointment for which I will have to put down a new deposit.

*should my artist have a situation that requires a reschedule on their end, that shall not be counted against my rescheduling possibility.

Upon settling of an appointment date, should you choose to pay your deposit online, a link shall be provided to the deposit policy acknowledgment and secure payment.
